What is the TDS value？

TDS, short for Total dissolved solids, means all dissolved solids。It is used to describe the content of inorganic salts and organic matter in water, mainly including cations such as calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium, as well as anions such as carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate and nitrate。

The simplest way to detect the TDS value is to use the TDS pen to measure it。The probe of the TDS detector pen has positive and negative electrodes, which can determine the number of soluble particles in the water according to the different conduction of soluble substances in the water。The higher the value, the more soluble solids the water contains。The smaller the value, the purer the water。

TDS is expressed in PPM。How many values, is how many parts per million。

1、For users living in buildings, water supply from the top water storage tank is easy to cause secondary pollution. By detecting the change of TDS value, the property management terminal can be urged to clean the water storage tank regularly。

3、Fruits and vegetables are soaked in water, and if the TDS value is high, chemical fertilizer and pesticide pollution can be suspected, and attention should be paid to it。

5、If the TDS value of deep well water is higher than 300, it indicates that the impurity content is too high。

6、Each region and city has different TDS values due to different pipelines and water sources。The northern hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions, and the TDS value is high, which will cause scale formation. Generally, the hard water is 150-400 (scaling), and the ultra-hard water (brackish water) is more than 400 (severe scaling).。
